The Connection
Coresecure has chosen to build it's VIRIV infrastructure on Internap's backbone for many reasons. For starters, Internap purchases direct access and full transit connectivity into the major global Internet backbones. In all cases, Internap is one of their biggest customers, which means the backbone providers have a financial incentive to deliver top-quality performance. Internap also has signed service-level agreements with each backbone provider, specifying network availability, performance and response time for problems. This economic relationship between Internap and the major backbone networks provides our customers with something that private and public peering relationships cannot offer: a differentiated quality of service. Furthermore, the multiple routing options Internap has available virtually guarantee connectivity to the Internet, regardless of problems individual backbone providers may be experiencing. Internap also assures us (in turn, you our client) of superior performance during peak traffic times by getting your data to its destination and back in the fastest, most efficient way.
To further enhance the reliability of Internap’s P-NAPs*, Internap has designed their network infrastructure to have no single point of failure. Not only do they build in redundant routers and switches, but also keep hot spares on site, so they can immediately restore our redundancy in the event of a failure in our primary equipment. Finally, if in the extremely unlikely case that a catastrophic event was to take out one of Internap’s P-NAPs, it would not affect the rest of the network.

Intelligent Route Control Technologies
- Performance
Considers path characteristics like latency, packet loss, route stability and congestion when making routing decisions. - Automation
Makes decisions dynamically and automatically to account for network performance changes, without the need for manual intervention. - Intelligence
Balances combination of competing performance metrics to determine optimal route. - Efficiency
Uses resources very efficiently by finding the optimal routing solution, given the constraints of capacity, route policy and performance requirements.
Internap's Service Level Agreement
Coresecure chose Internap as our Internet Connectivity partner based on their unmatched service level agreement. The following are the highlights of this SLA:
- 100% network availability across the public Internet
- Latency: Less than 45ms in the USA
- Packet Loss: Less than 0.3% for all geographies
- Jitter: Less than 0.5 ms in the USA
